the actual election scandal is the fact that the president of the united states is waging a whole of government effort against free and fair elections.

Post nicht verfügbar.

The lessons from Brazil and Serbia? Don't concede one inch of ground to the far right. Don't appease. Don't triangulate. Don't grovel. Don't say they have "legitimate concerns". Mobilise your base, and fight them with all the democratic means at your disposal.

The president of the United States is using the Department of Justice, filled with the defense lawyers who helped him get away with a coup, to try to steal an election. Any other comment about the "fairness" of our elections should focus entirely on that and that alone.

If the Democrats don't win supermajorities in Congress and all governorships, national media will talk about what a disappointing night it was for them. (Please feel free to review this post Nov. 4)

Trump has been undermining faith in our elections for over a decade and it has yet to be covered by @nytimes.com with the hair-on-fire fervor and (dis)proportion of Hillary's email server, but they'll serve this right before the election as if to validate his conspiracies. Handing him a bludgeon.

There's a weird overlap between people who say they want limited government, but also vote for loud, aggressive, bullies who want everything their way and will punish anyone who disagrees.

I don't think all trans people are saints because fuck that. But they are some of the bravest people on earth and they're being targeted out of malice of convienance. If you aren't on the right side of this now, you can't be trusted with much.

All these so-called “independent” Republicans will go right back to voting for Johnson as speaker, confirm every Trump nominee, vote with Trump on everything, and continue doing zero oversight on his corrupt regime. A vote for any one of them is a vote to continue all of that.

Vivek Ramaswamy seeks to take political advantage of the fact that his opponent was raped as a child. But to his credit, unlike many other Republican politicians, he was not personally the rapist in question.
