In the mid-20th century, auto and oil interests bought up electric streetcar systems across the US and systematically replaced them with bus routes and paved roads, funneling commuters toward private cars.
Wait until people realize that the short spine genes that give us the glory that is Jimothy is a somewhat common (recessive) trait in that Seattle neighborhood and there is more than one magnificent creature out there. 😈
100% supportive of this sentiment. The WNBA needs a crash course in online information dynamics and media manipulation. ASAP. Old school crisis response plans are going to fail spectacularly.

Oh god, my backlog of audiobooks, hundreds of fantasy/scifi/litrpg-nonsense books have been finished. Thousands of hours of nonsense you can't believe...but, alas, I am out of new stuff. I'm going down to 4-star books, y'all...need recomendations!
I'm just waiting for models to create new companies, merge, go public, flare out, and close, within minutes, and not a single employee or product was hired or created. AIs buying AI company stocks All just paperwork, red-tape, and borrowed money with few producers anywhere in the pipeline anyways

Weird type of bigotry to blame someone for what their religion/church teaches, even though they publicly disavow certain teachings. ...Actually, I guess it's not that weird, one of the oldest bigotries out there, innit?
In case you missed it, Mischief just announced our first game since Adios!!!!!! It's in a city @pabastien.bsky.social and I have been dreaming about for years, and is a postmodern pastiche of... all the games we didn't make! And there will be a shotgun in it. ;)

The bloodrave is a core visual image associated with live action Blade.
I've done OCR and pattern recognition software, if you only have a 29% success rate, you lied a LOT...like a lot a lot to get customers AND you made very bad software that is worse than flipping a coin.

Out of a sample of 1,427 alerts that Flock sent to police in the town of Roseville, alerts that flagged vehicles as stolen or used in a felony after they passed one of the city's Flock cameras, 71% were inaccurate.

I once offered money to recently laid off AAA game devs for a small project, probably a single pay-check, and got yelled at that I didn't offer it to everyone. Ignoring that I made the request open to everyone if they hit a quality standard I needed. Anyways, they sucked and blocked me.

Even teeth let you scrape your lips without issues. This is again, another BS moment that people without straight teeth deal with a dozen times a day.
Do you think batteries in the far future know how full they are? Or do we continue to deal with this nonsense where circuitry guesses based on voltage it thinks it's getting?
Is this what people with straight, white, and nice teeth feel like? This is bullshit. It's so expensive if you're not born with it. It's genetic and unobtainable and that sucks.
Saw Tenet tonight I understood most of it, but I feel like it was purposefully more complicated than it needed to be. Yes, the backwards time people had music that went backwards and air masks and little blue badges, but Nolan specifically made it more obtuse than it needed to be. Fun premise tho
Redmond's Derby Days Drone Show didn't have a Jimothy bit...I'm upset.
Tomorrow morning, about 7hrs away, I have 10 teeth ground down to little nubs, and a minimum wage's worth of yearly salary in crowns glued on in replacement. This will take 5 hrs, probably 6-8 shots of local anesthetic. Gonna be a blast...need to find the good headphones.
I dunno, it's weird. I'm just sad that no future kids can relive a crazy life like I had. Too many rules, too many police drones, too much internet and surveillance now. I was a trouble-maker, though never dangerous or damaging in the 80s and 90s. Then early computers let me explore with freedom.
