I know of at least one case of a researcher who refused to act as a reviewer for X conference because X does not allow generative AI tools to be used in the review process.

It feels extreme, but it's an apt analogy! Someone who dosen't care that its training violates creators, its moderation traumatises wage slaves, its operation relies on rapacious extraction and consumption, its entire philosophy is exploitative, isn't going to care whether you consent to using it.
