Actual human, who makes things! Designer, walker, cook, radical centrist, anti-Fascist - #FBPE 🌊

Said this before, will again. Badenoch is the most dangerous figure in British politics. She's not as extreme as Farage or Lowe, but her impact is more pernicious. She actively prevents the British centre-right from adopting moderate positions, and thereby facilitates the radicalisation process.

When the story of why humanity didn't stop climate change is written, it will feature front pages like this. Even as the skies blacken with climate change-induced wildfires, right wing media continue their relentless crusade against measures to tackle it.

The Times: Net zero risks blackouts. Below a photo of French wildfires.

Everything now is about Hungary on April 15th. Trump, Meloni, Le Pen and Netenyahu are coming out hard for Orban because they know: if he falls, the global far-right movement no longer looks inevitable.

Viktor Orban is now 20 points behind in the polls - and so he has ordered the military to guard “key energy facilities” against a possible Ukrainian “attack.” Hungarians fear he plans a fake national security emergency or false-flag incident before the April 12 election apnews.com/article/hung...

“..if those now shouting loudest had been shouting then, the question would have been harder to avoid — and the appointment less likely to be made.” “Many of the same columnists now condemning Starmer praised him at the time for appointing a “master of the dark arts”, for taking a gamble.”

Have written about a week where the hypocrisy of much of the media was laid bare (and address mine). I also write about the truth Starmer cannot say: he appointed Mandelson to the court of Trump not in spite of the Epstein connection but in a sense, because of it. open.substack.com/pub/goodalla...

Nigel Farage tells GB News that Keir Starmer's decision to appoint Peter Mandelson as US ambassador shows his judgement is "seriously wrong" and he should stand down as Prime Minister. Here's what Farage said when Mandelson was appointed

“Across the federal govt, officials are advocating for a radical new understanding of the American idea, one rooted not in the vision of the Founders, but in the ideologies of European fascists” Many won’t want to hear what @alibreland.bsky.social lays out here www.theatlantic.com/national-sec...

The Trump Administration Is Publishing a Stream of Nazi Propaganda

The cynics think today's attack on Venezuela is staged and transactional. Maduro is allied with Putin, but in 2019 Putin offered Trump a swap: Russia cedes Venezuela and gets Ukraine. (See Fiona Hill's testimony in Trump's first impeachment trial, h/t @davetroy.com). Even Maduro may be in on it. 2/

Sad and predictable but also interesting and revealing to see the angry reaction from the populist right to the King's Speech. They're reading it as a call for tolerance of diversity, approval for multi-faith, multi-cultural UK, and supportive of Ukraine. Which I think it was & intentionally so. 1/3
