Just trying to get through the day w/o kicking somebody’s a$$! #pooligans and dogs are the best people!

In other non-war and stuff news? The US West is burning. Where I live is close but not at immediate risk. Thick, acrid, toxic smoke blocking the sky, relentless 25-40mph winds aren’t fun. Apocalypse USA 250?

Canyon fire closing hwy at Ouray, COMap of fire and wind danger in COFire location at Ouray, CO. Tan dots are structures, orange and red are potential spread of 🔥

If you watch the Obama Library, the World Cup, and the Knicks parade this afternoon -- and nothing else -- you can actually see the America we're supposed to be at age 250

#Pooligans Did you hear Julie’s segment with the Mayor of Ouray, CO?? Just a few miles from my home, I very nearly drove into a ditch!! It’s every bit as spectacular and special as discussed. Wow!

It's Pride Month, so once again here's Sappho's Reply, one of the most powerful queer poems ever. Written by Rita Mae Brown at the height of the post-Stonewall struggles, it's the origin of "an army of lovers shall not fail/cannot lose." Y'all, we are going to win.

"My voice rings down through thousands of years
To coil around your body and give you strength,
You who have wept in direct sunlight,
Who have hungered in invisible chains,
Tremble to the cadence of my legacy:
An army of lovers shall not fail."
