Reddit has started rolling out mod tools that provide AI summaries of users' posting profiles to help ascertain whether a new acct is a spammer or just a noob. And like, this is pretty fair. May adopt it as my new bio.

Slide Away shoegaze fest at Aragon Ballroom last night was pretty great. HUM doing "Robins" and "Step into you" sent me over the moon. Chapterhouse sounded record-perfect and the local support Dim (kinda MBV-esque) and Sunshy (kids who clearly listened to a lot of Pyg-era Slowdive) killed.

Sent this letter to @wyden.senate.gov and @merkley.senate.gov ... I don't know what else to do. This situation is intolerable.

Sen Merkley - I am a Portland resident and constituent of yours. I have just finished reading through as many of the recently published letters from the children imprisioned in the Dilley ICE facility in Texas as I could before I completely broke down in tears. There are only a few dozen people in the world who have the direct ability to influence government actions in this area, and you are one of them. Our government is committing atrocities under the guise of anti-immigration, and I implore you to do everything in your power to stop it. Defund ICE immediately. Open impeachment and criminal proceedings against the architects and implementors of these cruel policies - Steven Miller, Kristi Noem, Tom Homan, JD Vance, and Donald Trump. The Dilley facility and any others like it need to be immediately shut down and the children imprisoned there returned to their families. Please confirm your receipt of this letter and let me know what actions you are taking in this area. Rode my bike through the cemetery and up Terwilliger here in Portland OR. I intended to pay respects to the victims of this administration's war on its citizens but was not prepared to find a spontaneous memorial for Alex Pretti at the entrance to the VA hospital. Together we are so powerful.

A roadside memorial with candles, flowers, balloons, notes and signs, and other ephemera. A bag of sour patch kids is propped on a candle, as well as a Veterans Administration placard for memorial wreaths with Alex Pretti's name on it. There is a sign on the ground that says ABOLISH ICE.
