Destiny will draw the lightning Down from heaven, roll its thunder

🔥Yo! I had the honor of making the cover for the coolest comic, made by the coolest people🔥 "A deserting corsair and his hostage, an old pregnant priestess from Ile, must join forces to escape the leader of a vengeful insurgent group... by going Down North Where No One Goes!"

My friend @aickmanwill.bsky.social and I are making a bronze age-inspired sci-fantasy comic: Down North, Where No One Goes. We've received few but great lil reviews of issue 1 (available digital and physical). So, we hope you like issue 2! Coming *very* soon! Less than a month! Help us, share! 💀🖤

Hey all! I'm making a weird pulp sci-fantasy epic releasing this October and I need your help. Seems like I'm struggling getting on track on bsky compared to that other site... So do follow and share for more info soon!! Thanks bye!🔥

🍂 𝔊𝔯𝔢𝔞𝔱 𝔎𝔦𝔫𝔤 𝔎𝔯𝔞𝔱𝔱 🎃 The dim-winged spirits of the night Do fear and serve me well. They creep from out the hedges of The fields where I dwell... ...Then dig a treasure called the moon, A very precious thing, And keep it in the air for me Because I am a King!

Text: Great King Kratt

Image: a double spread illustration at a dutch angle depicting a harvested field of corn under moonlight. A huge construct of branches, rope, and twigs skitters and lurches across the field on many legs like a great artificial spider. It possesses a face of many carved jack o lanterns, eyes and mouths flickering dimly under its shadowy bulk. Believe me when I say Ramon has masterminded something awesome here, and the next issue will take you to even more fantastic and unexpected places. And I wrote a song for this one!

I really like Prometheus, but I think one of its problems is that it makes all of human life revolve around the Alien mythology. I prefer the idea that the xenomorph wasnt particularly special…it was one monster in a vast, infinite dark full of monsters. Thats more interesting than the xeno itself.

After I absolutely loathed his first collection, people kept telling me that John Langan's later stuff was much better and to check some of that out. My question, after a long series of second chances, is "how much later is later"

The reality of it is that none of you losers want to make art. If you wanted to make art you'd shut up and go do it. What you want is attention and recognition and praise and frankly you'll have a better shot at it quitting your job to become a human pet.

All you worthless wastes of skin have had TWO+ YEARS with these tools now. Go make something undeniable. Go make something people can't help but take notice of. You fucking can't, and honestly I don't think it's the "tools" I think you are all personally devoid of a soul.

These people will never shut the fuck up and make something worthwhile with their stupid slop machines but they will endlessly whine and whine and whine and whine about not getting credit for being able to pull the arm on a slot machine. Simply not enough scorn heaped upon them yet.

In defence of AI slop: we should embrace open access to creativity, not condemn it Look past the Donald Trump superhero memes and the new software gives us the chance to democratise creative production. No wonder art’s cultural gatekeepers are worried ✍️ Jack Riley https://bit.ly/3SpzFQ4

This is one of the best comic book anthologies I ever had the pleasure of reading. Great writing and art, and a true love letter to the spirit of Wolfe's New Sun. I don't know how accessible it is to get it now, but even just the PDF/ e-book is worth having. I read it first on my kobo, then print

Book of Fuligin is a weird sci-fantasy comics anthology in honor of Gene Wolfe that me and a bunch of excellent artists created in 2022-24. I realized that many people who follow me here don't know about it, so it's time to change that.

Weird fiction and cyberpunk authors need to watch more 1970s neonoir, fantasy authors need to read more pre-1950s grotesque fantasy books, I will not be explaining myself at this or any other time.
