We received our first counterproposals from management today with disappointing language — including no guaranteed wage increases this year and rollbacks of hard-fought language on diversity and severance. We stand united and ready to fight for the contract we deserve.

After 9 years, my time at HuffPost has come to an end. Amid another round of bloodbath layoffs this week, I raised my hand for a buyout — a decision that stung but felt right for me. I'm outraged for all my wonderful colleagues who are losing jobs due to no fault of their own.
Welp. I've been laid off. I'm so proud of my work at HuffPost. But I want to give a special shout out to my Culture crew @tarynitup.bsky.social, @marinafang.bsky.social, Njera Jenkins and Erin Evans for holding us down. It's rare to be on a team with all women of color. We were amazing together.
After 11 years, my time at HuffPost is coming to an end tomorrow. Last week, I learned HuffPost would be ending its dedicated coverage of energy and climate change. So, I took a buyout.
