One of my favorite ways to spend an Alaska evening—enjoying a locally crafted beer with an unforgettable mountain view at Palmer Brewing Company. 🍺🏔️ Cheers to great beer, great views, and Alaska life. #Alaska #CraftBeer #SupportLocal
Absolutely loved Hatcher Pass pizza! 🍕 The Honey Dough has a lightly sweet crust, and we finished the whole thing because it was so delicious. The mountain view made it even better! ⛰️ The only downside is that there isn’t a public restroom. #HatcherPass #Alaska
We biked several miles along the stunning glacial waters of #EklutnaLake, surrounded by mountains, wildflowers, and blue skies. Its turquoise color comes from glacial flour carried by meltwater. Fresh air and nature reminded me to slow down and reconnect with myself. 💙🏔️✨ #ChugachStatePark
Today’s Alaska discovery: #ATVs, cyclists, and hikers often share the trails at Eklutna Lake (although some routes are separate). Watching people confidently ride ATVs through the mountains was such a uniquely #Alaskanexperience! 🚴🏔️💙
A little farm escape in Palmer 🌸 Peonies, fresh salad, local beer & kombucha in a beautifully restored 1943 railcar. The perfect way to enjoy an Alaska summer after the rain. 🌿🍻 #AlaskaLife #Palmer #MoonstoneFarm
Just harvest a bunch of fireweed… time to make syrup!

I’m usually not a canned coffee person, but this one changed my mind! ☕️ Smooth, easy on my stomach, and so refreshing. Plus, I love the modern, minimalist, eco-friendly vibe of the can. 🤍✨ #lovemealatte #PopAndBottle
Almost 9 PM in Alaska, and the sky still feels endless. The local high school’s track is almost empty, with eagles soaring overhead and mountains all around. Grateful to have a place like this just minutes from home—perfect for clearing my mind. 🦅🏃♀️⛰️ #Alaska #EagleRiver #MidnightSun #EveningRun
Rain outside, cozy moments inside. Books, snacks, a little wine, fresh flowers, and cat cuddles. Sometimes the best Sundays are the slow ones. 💜 #SundayPhotoDump #RainyDay #CozyVibes #CatLife #FreshFlowers #SlowLiving #AlaskaLife
Spent the day at the 41st Annual Bear Paw Festival in Eagle River! 🐻🦅🎉 Loved the relaxed local vibes, met amazing people, learned more about community services, and even tried on firefighter gear! Proud to be part of this wonderful Alaska community. ❤️🏔️ #BearPawFestival #EagleRiver #Alaska #Community
Strange experience Friday morning. At a drive-through coffee shop, I watched the blue car in front of me pay with cash. I waited for it to pull forward, but it was suddenly gone. Even the barista was surprised, and the security camera didn’t explain it. A real mystery in Alaska 👽🌿
I was surprised to go through airport-style security just to enter a free visitor center in Anchorage! 😲 It turns out the center is inside a U.S. Federal Building, so security screening is required. Definitely an unexpected but interesting experience! 🇺🇸🏔️ #Alaska #Anchorage #FederalBuilding
“Snow in summer!?” — actually cottonwood fluff. ❄️🌿 Every early summer, Alaska’s cottonwoods send fluff drifting through the air like snow a true Alaska seasonal sight. Beautiful, but my eyes are paying the allergy price 😅 #Alaska #Cottonwood #SummerSnow #AlaskaLife
Our very first gardening experience together! 🌿💜 We planted a French lilac in our little garden. We heard it’s well suited to Alaska’s climate, so we’re excited to watch it grow over the years. Here’s hoping it thrives and fills our garden with beautiful blooms! #FrenchLilac #Alaska #NewBeginnings
It looks like our 3-day weekend just became a 4-day weekend! 🇺🇸 The Governor of Alaska issued a proclamation for America 250. 🎆 #America250 #USA250 #IndependenceDay #Alaska #StateOfAlaska #AlaskaLife #FourthOfJuly 🇺🇸
An evening walk under Alaska’s midnight sun turned unforgettable. We spotted a mother moose and her calf, turned around, then a black bear appeared behind us. Suddenly, we were caught between them. It felt surreal, like stepping into a mythical wilderness. Alaska keeps you humble. 🫎🐻🌄 #Alaska
Tonight: lemony white bean soup and garlic toast. 🥣🍞 Different from traditional Japanese foods, yet just as comforting. Grateful for the new flavors that now feel like home. 🌿 ##AlaskaLife #ComfortFood #Grateful #findinghomes
One thing Alaska has taught me: green is never just one color. Beneath the midnight sun, the forest comes alive with countless shades of green, stretching before me like an endless sea. 🌿✨ #WildAlaska
Only in Alaska ? the office service dog happily chewing on what looks like a wildlife relic—a massive reindeer antler found in a river. 🫎🐶 #AlaskaLife
A hidden view behind a local nursery in Eagle River🌿⛰️ the greenhouses that supply Walmart and Fred Meyer were stunning Alaska mountains. Seeing a view like this almost makes me feel like I don’t need a garden at all. #Alaska #EagleRiver #MountainViews #AlaskaLif

Walking in faith and walking for a cause. ⛪️💗 This week I was blessed to participate in the Corpus Christi Procession and the Alaska Run for Women. Different journeys, but both reminded me of the power of faith, hope, and community. #CorpusChristi #AlaskaRunForWomen #akrfw #akrfw2026 #AlaskaLife 💕
Around 8 PM in #Alaska. Knik Arm glows in the evening light while hikers make the most of the long summer day. #EagleRiver
There are some signs of improvement in Anchorage’s winter homelessness situation, with fewer people reportedly sleeping outdoors this winter. Even so, despite it being early summer, the cold weather still continues in Alaska. Continued support remains important. alaskapublic.org/news/anchora...
The numbers are in: Fewer homeless people slept outdoors in Anchorage this winter
City officials say they worked hard to bring the numbers down, but they’re not finished yet.
