Seeing that Sleep has a new album reminds me of the time I was on a manager's retreat, and on a car ride with me and my boss and another manager, we started talking about music, and my boss asked me what I'd been listening to recently, and I said Dopesmoker and tried to describe it lol

Now entering Week 3 of whatever is making me cough all the time, and if I'm not on copious amounts of ibuprofen, my chest feels like I got shot while wearing Kevlar

The last episode of Game Changer has left Santana/Rob Thomas' Smooth stuck in my head for the last week and a half, and I gotta say, given the circumstances of that episode, I don't hate it

You ever think about the poor Alabama freshman kicker who came about 3 yards short of hitting a miracle 57 yard field goal to win the Iron Bowl and then got absolutely nailed with the truck stick on the ensuing return for a touchdown

I still truly hate Fenway Sports Group for how they’ve butchered the Sox after 2018, but I can’t not root for the team, man. Sports fandom is all about hoping the players succeed and the people that pay them choke on eggs

I dragged my tired ailing ass to a Vietnamese joint to eat a big ass bowl of pho for lunch, and I gotta tell you, when you’re talking “foods you specifically have a hankering for at that exact moment”, pho is pretty hard to top

when the generally nice and genial guy in the Old Man Record Forum thread about the Play Dead app starts posting AI slop of the Dead as Peanuts characters

A miniature poodle looking depressed

Absolutely fucking cackling at Phish playing a billion bustouts during their MSG shows and then playing an even bigger one than any of them at Fenway Park (XTC’s Melt the Guns)

just said this on another post but it bears repeating: the thing about continuing to give money to any jk rowling properties or the nyt is not that they’re shitty about trans people, which they are. it is that both of these entities MATERIALLY CONTRIBUTE to the legal challenges to trans rights

I work at a public library. People who want to use AI seem to have no trouble doing so. People who don't want to use AI have a harder time. I crowdsourced and then finalized this document "How to disable or avoid intrusive AI" and then gave it a short URL: notoai.org Please pass along if it's useful
