Listening to some of the lore of the Tolkien legendarium and I think I understand why some of the expanded universe projects don't hit like you'd think they would. You need the charm of hobbits to offset the bleakness of a lot of it and hobbits aren't in most of Tolkien's work.

The Wonderman cancelation has made me think about other loose ends in the MCU: The Eternals, AoS, The Inhumans, etc. Its a sort of phantom limb syndrome, knowing a story is left untold in a universe that is still continuing.
