Headline from a recent Alaska Public Media article titled "Alaska Flu Cases Spike, Causing at Least 3 Deaths and High Numbers of Hospitalizations" is pictured in the upper left hand corner of the image. "Most of us are saying that we've never in our careers seen so much, both volume of flu coming into the hospital rapidly, as well as how ill people are," Westley said". A post from the r/Alaska subreddit titled "Flu" reading "This is the hardest I've ever been hit with a bug except maybe once in Nepal. I always take the vaccine. Everyone in our house has been sick too. Our neighbors are sick as hell. I just got back from the lower 48 but is the flu hitting hard up here or did I bring it home? I havent held down food in 3 days and have an constany dry cough. The cdc maps dont show alaskas flu rates." with a black background is in the lower left hand corner of the image. Mount Spurr has been showing signs of possible eruption. It is always a good idea to have high filtration masks (like N95s) available in case of disasters like a potential volcanic eruption. Air purifiers can also help with indoor air quality during such an event. #AlaskaSky #MaskUp #Alaska

“What does she miss about pre-pandemic times? ‘I miss the illusion that people are willing to care for each other,’ she said. ‘How hard is it to put a mask on? It rattles your faith in humankind … (you learn) how little the people in your life understood how sick you were to begin with.’” #AlaskaSky

“I don’t consider myself COVID cautious. I consider myself COVID competent,” Zebrowski said. “Cautious would imply that I have an unreasonable fear of something. I do not have an unreasonable fear of this disease.” Nailed it 🔥
