Researchers at the Alaska Volcano Observatory reported that the likelihood of an eruption at Mount Spurr, a volcano about 80 miles west of Anchorage, has increased. They say the most likely outcome of the unrest at the volcano is “one or more explosive events.” alaskapublic.org/news/public-...

Mount Spurr has been showing signs of possible eruption. It is always a good idea to have high filtration masks (like N95s) available in case of disasters like a potential volcanic eruption. Air purifiers can also help with indoor air quality during such an event. #AlaskaSky #MaskUp #Alaska

In April 2024, we started the Alaska Mask Bloc with the hope of encouraging our community to mask up, while also providing quality masks to Alaskans in need. In the 8 months we've been in operation, we've distributed 881 masks, and 176 rapid antigen tests to Alaskans across the state! 1/4 #AlaskaSky
