Spent the morning with @alchemickitchen.bsky.social making tasty lunches with people accessing a support space in St. Helens. We made potato gnocchi, served with a veg heavy sauce with hidden beans, panzanella salad, coleslaw & pickled cucumbers.
Love seeing this. From a brilliant farm to the brilliant Queen of the Greens bus. No complicated supply chain, just good food and a bus helping to get it to where it's needed most.

Could you all pray to your gods or fishes for the success of the £234K funding bid I have just submitted for a 3 year project? We can’t make it any better, and as with so many of our recent applications, it’s more about luck than skill to be chosen. Thank you.

Sow nasturtiums! Fast-growing, no feeding needed, & thrive in bad soil. Brighten dull spots, hide bins, fill hedge gaps. Edible too-add flowers & leaves to salads. Great for companion planting—lure aphids away from veg. Sow direct or start in pots. Grow guide here: vegplotter.com/grow-guides/...

Rising heat and failing harvests reveal a fragile food system. It is time to treat food security as a democratic issue https://www.opendemocracy.net/climate-crisis-food-supermarket-cost-poverty-heatwave-drought-andy-burnham/?utm_source=social&utm_medium=Social&utm_campaign=content_studio
Courgette flowers are edible and delicious! 🌼 Grow them in rich soil with plenty of sun. Pick male flowers (no fruit behind) early in the morning when open. Stuff with ricotta, batter & fry, or toss raw into salads for a delicate treat. A short-lived beauty—harvest before they wilt! #gardenchat
