🚨 CDOT will be presenting plans & answering questions on a series of pedestrian improvements along Chicago Ave between Ashland and California at a town hall on Mon., Aug. 17, at 6PM at the Ukrainian Cultural Center. Residents are invited to attend and learn more about the project!

Today we celebrated Goethe Elementary’s brand new field and playground! These new additions were made possible in part through the 1st Ward’s Participatory Budgeting process, reinvesting taxpayer dollars back into our community to create a safe, engaging, and high-quality outdoor space for kids.

If CPD can track down and arrest the people who stole this bear, I'm trusting they can arrest the person who hit and seriously injured Nakari Campbell with their car. They had their license plate and address three years ago! Justice deferred can still be justice.

It was a privilege working with Garien Gatewood over the last three years. He was a consummate professional and an essential leader in reducing gun violence in Chicago. The 1st Ward would not have experienced a 70%+ reduction in shootings without him. His firing is a tremendous loss for the city.
