I’ve had a brilliant couple of days visiting Alderney for the first time, where I interviewed Andrew Lownie about his book ‘Entitled’ for the @alderneylit.bsky.social - in an afternoon event and dinner Q&A. I’ve had a tour of the island and been made so welcome by everyone too. Thank you!

Book banning is also on the increase in the UK. This comes after the Index on Censorship reported that the Lowry Academy in Salford had removed books containing "inappropriate content" from its library. It said they included Nineteen Eighty-Four by George Orwell and Twilight by Stephenie Meyer.
