It appears today is the ninth anniversary of me managing to curtail my jury service by suffering my third heart attack. It's not a method I'd recommend. Incidentally, Crown Court lied to us. Trials last more than thirty minutes a day, and often last more than three days.

I'm watching The Longest Day on Film Four and have been reminded of the time BBC Scotland's Untied Shoelaces Show taught its young viewers how to draw a picture of Robert Mitchum. They certainly knew their target audience.
