When someone asks a trustee for help, that trustee should have the ability to advocate for them. Trustees aren't elected to just observe district decisions. They're elected to ask questions, provide oversight, and advocate for their communities. These proposals make all 3 more difficult.

This evening, NSEA urged the Washoe County School District Board of Trustees to reject two proposed policy changes that would significantly weaken the ability of elected trustees to provide oversight, represent their constituents, and hold district administration accountable.

"That's a nice state you have there, Nevada. It'd be a shame if something happened to it..." It's not as catchy as "I'm Joe Lombardo," but it's just as telling. Joe’s friend and commanding officer could send more ICE thugs, but for now, he’s not because this is about politics, not border security.
