Same here. I changed my opinion on this matter after having disabled friends explain why they fear the legalization of assisted dying in the current, increasingly conservative world. In short, they fear - and with good reason - that it will eventually become their only option.

It is absolutely NOT a circle in that case. Check the figures of those who have chosen AD because they feel like a "burden".

Surely @rimaanabtawi.bsky.social what is more outrageous is the disproportionately higher rates of maternal mortality for Black women in USA & UK ? Indeed 3 previous C-sections, existing health complications & 12 hour labour is kind of alarming-speaking as someone been there & lost relatives!

Today I might be imprisoned for it, along with my nurse midwife’s and the physicians overseeing, too. This is not only the result of the pro life fanatics, but of a medical system that turns pregnancy and birth into pathologies. Outrageous.
