Martin Ødegaard - 2025-2026 Premier League Radar and Distribution
Building a cool metric that judges defenders by how they match up to THE GYOK. Radu Dragusin congrats sir, you are an Atletico Madrid calibre centre back
I sjuck at photosharp I'm sorry I'm sorry Is this a solution?
Appreciate he doesn’t get on the pitch in our bigger games* but Nørgaard is Sagna levels of Mr Dependable *he absolutely should
So relieved that Mister Frank, a true gentleman and friend of The Arsenal, got out of there before letting a relegation discolour his CV.
That was the sort of performance we signed Eze for. Far more involved, willing to take charge, and the most in sync with the rest of the team I’ve seen him. Think it’ll be restorative confidence wise too, at an important point in the season. Now please please please track your man vs Chelsea 😖
We’ve played with such a lack of maturity and game management at times this season. Night and day compared to how we managed matches after going a goal up in the second half of 23/24.
Martinelli rediscovered passing with the outside of your foot like 6 games ago and has been having the time of his life ever since
Ife Ibrahim and Brando Bailey-Joseph are my #1 and #2 #PersonalFaves from the academy. So tonight means very much to me
Damn I was kinda annoying in this one

Eze on (as a midfielder) is also ideal for this. Just a pity it’s 2-1 down when they’re no longer incentivised to give us space
We’ve had so many counterattacking opportunities we couldn’t capitalise on. Martinelli or Madueke on for Trossard for the second half please

It's not that he's the answer to the question we all want asked, it's that the question is currently 'can't someone offer more?' It's like when Nketiah came into the side for Lacazette late in 21/22 and we immediately looked better. He wasn't the answer, but he was closer to it.
Small thing I’ve noticed re Mosquera: his tackles often don’t get the ball far away from the danger zone. Can even get stuck under him. Compare that to Gabriel (who sends it behind or far away) and Saliba (who tends to come away with the ball neatly in his possession, because he’s Saliba).
Too often we judge players on moments rather than momentum.
Wasn’t expecting it but the thing I love most about Gyokeres’ game is his ~final action decision making.
The @scoutedftbl.com 50 is here. I voted in part with my heart and in part with my access to elite level scouting algos. Sub to Scouted. It makes sense.
Honoured to have been asked to be part of SCOUTED50 again. Tom told me to go with my heart this year, so I did.

Anyways, Port Vale: Setford* White**, Mosquera, Hincapié, Myles Ethan, Nørgaard, Eze/MM Max, Martinelli, Trossard Sub Eze, Max and White by ‘60. Give Annous his debut. *ik it’ll be Kepa **start Nichols if BW isn’t ready
Yeah, so Arteta is really using his squad this season and looking to reward form. Exactly what we’ve been asking for for years, can’t hate on it
Side note: Wirtz really came alive around the same time Curtis Jones came on. Could well be circumstantial but I think there’s something in that, particularly as a ‘counter balancer’/‘counter tempo’ to the rest of the team. He could be key to extracting the most from Wirtz this season.
argh frustrating tho Momentum swung their way around 55 mins (partly as a result of Zubi waning). Imo then was the opportunity to bring on Ødegaard and Eze to regain stability, add creativity. Instead, Liverpool bring on CuJo to stamp control on the game. If we lost it tactically, we lost it there.
Agreed. Ode/Eze ten minutes sooner when it was clear that we were no longer controlling the game. By 55 mins we no longer pressed. Free kick 2 inches to the right and it is saved. 2 inches to the left and it bounces off the post & back into play (maybe off Raya, though). A truly worthy game winner.
Øde + Eze subs were late, but otherwise I’m not taking issue with today’s performance. Missing key players (Kai, Saka, Ø from the start), lost Saliba early, outplayed them on their patch for periods, ultimately beaten by a brilliant free-kick. Loads of positives, we go again.
