Went to get an allergy tested today and one doctor thought I was having a reaction. The doctor who admitted me let her know that my face looked like that when I came in 😅😅😅 The joys of a face that easily goes red.

My constant struggle.

I’ve been regularly icing my foot for my plantar fasciitis, which is a better summer activity than a winter one. After having my foot on an ice pack for half an hour, the rest of me is always cold as well.

My biggest struggle following so many artists is that they all sell really cool art and I only have so much money.

Some friends and I watched When Harry Met Sally for the first time yesterday. None of us could get onboard with the romance but we all agreed that New York in the 90’s looks like a beautiful place to live.

When I lived in Canada, I was watching Bluey in Spanish to help with my Spanish vocabulary. The episode with Bob Bilby really bothered me because in the translation they kept calling him a rabbit, not a bilby. I’m back in Australia and Bluey is on the ABC, and only available in English (1/?)

Do you remember the beginning of the internet when speaking to far away strangers felt so strange and mysterious? And now it’s so everyday. I don’t think this is bad or good, I just realized how different it feels now, as I watch tiktoks of strangers interacting with strangers.

I got the Muppet Treasure Island soundtrack on CD because it never had a digital release and the only other place I can find it is YouTube. I can tell this is a good purchase based on the large number of lyrics I can remember haha. Some of them are really embedded in here.

I forgot about Hourly Comic Day yesterday but I did spend the entire day working on sample pages for a comic I want to pitch, so I feel like I still participated.

All I’ve been doing lately is work, go to dance classes, and work on my pitch doc. I’m drawing up sample pages and I love being obsessed with this.

I want to do my ironing, dye my roots, paint my nails, but all I can do atm is work on my comic book pitch doc and sample pages. It’s all I want to do. I love it when this focus hits although it’s making it hard to go to sleep at night.

Read The Long Game in about a day, seriously could not put it down. What a perfect book.

Heated Rivalry is taking over my life again, this time with the books. I came home from dance HOURS ago and haven’t been able to do anything but read until I could finish book five. I need to do literally anything else before I start The Long Game and let it take over my life.

Went to get all my moles checked today. The doctor took one look at me and asked, “Your job is inside? And your hobbies, all inside?” She saw me for who I am immediately haha

Just cut 30 pages out of my current comic script and it feels way more achievable now. Still a big project but more within my grasp. And better for the story!

Recently a friend told me that my favourite party is one I’m not at. We were just walking around outside of bars and clubs and I think she’s correct because being outside of the parties IS fun. Anyway, Happy New Year!
