I’m buddies with a guy who used to build these projectors. There was some renewed investment in rebuilding them around the release of the Hateful Eight, but that was… 11 years ago. The guy is in hospice care now.

Evil Dead Burn bookends my week of gooey food and gooey movies. It’s easy to lose sight, given the weird tug of war over Alien between the old generation and the new, of the fascinating, generous work this franchise is doing.
Of course the pumpkins I didn’t actively plant and basically ignored are doing better than the pumpkins I have been babying. 🎃🌱

I love that these promos feature Bridget Hoffman, who is not in the movie at all. She was just friends with Sam / Rob and has a very impressive voice acting career.
