This is taxpayer money down the drain. Households are paying too much for fuel, yet Labor's answer to every energy challenge is another handout to the fossil fuel industry. The cheapest, cleanest and most secure energy is clean energy we generate here.
Australia should follow China's lead to encourage lighter cars which will reduce injury risk to other road users and reduce infrastructure wear and tear.
