Tried to use hotter water to make my pourover coffee having determined the temperature loss between my (non-gooseneck) kettle and the little Hario air jug was putting it outside the ideal range and yeah, now I think I need to buy a kettle specifically for making coffee.

Just rescued a fruit fly from my drink with a tissue and if it revives I think I might just shout "It's alive!" like a certain literary mad scientist.
