It is a GENIUS messaging strategy to link AI and data centers to dick swinging toxic masculinity and I want more of it.
El-Sayed: "Mike Rogers is a guy who wants to put a data center in your backyard so he can make himself feel a little more manly by making an AI video ... he's a guy who went back to Florida so he could lick every single boot Donald Trump owns to bet for his endorsement."
I believe in a better future. I believe that it can happen. I believe, actually, that come hell or high water, it will not be denied.
Only liberation is a shared liberation.
El-Sayed: "My commitment to Jewish safety is the same commitment that I have to the safety of my own daughters. Because if there is one question of political philosophy that ought to animate us all, it's what would we do if we treated all our kids like they were all of our kids?"
I encourage all of us to have the grace and focus shown in this going up within minutes of the race being called.
This is so messed up. We need Medicare for All, including home health care. www.nytimes.com/2026/08/05/m...
The U.S. Relies on Family Caregivers. Millions of Them Are Kids.
The modern health care system requires the work of caregiving to fall to whoever else lives in a household — even if they’re kids.

Money out of politics. Money in your pocket. Medicare for All. Michigan... We won. I am so proud to be your Democratic nominee for US Senate. Let's win in November.
New from us at The Ripple Effect Institute: If you suspect you should be doing more in this moment, but you're telling yourself a story about how you're not the right person for the moment, this week's video is for you. The regime is counting on these lies, so we don't fight back. bit.ly/4wDdncu

In this video, I break down the four biggest myths that stop people from starting community organizations—and show you why you don't need to be fearless, charismatic, or experienced to create real change. You'll learn how to find the right role for your risk level, why organizing is much simpler than most people think, and how ordinary people build extraordinary impact by taking one step at a time. If you're ready to stop waiting for someone else to fix things and start building something your community truly needs, this video is for you. ______________________________________________________________________________________ BOOK A RIPPLE EFFECT FIT CALL: https://bit.ly/4waszgr SUBSCRIBE (and don't forget to hit the thumbs up and comment!): https://www.youtube.com/@RippleEffectInstitute READ MY ESSAYS ON POLITICS AND ACTIVISM ON SUBSTACK: https://newsletterwithecm.substack.com/ FOLLOW OUR SISTER CHANNEL ON POLITICS, LAW, AND BREAKING NEWS: https://www.youtube.com/@resistanceliveecm BUY MY BOOK: https://amzn.to/3jM8SMF JOIN OUR MAILING LIST to get updates: https://gaialeadershipproject.com/ LET'S CONNECT ON SOCIAL: BLUESKY: https://bsky.app/profile/ecmclaughlin.bsky.social INSTAGRAM: https://www.instagram.com/ecmclaughlin/ MEDIA and SPONSORSHIP INQUIRIES: https://gaialeadershipproject.com/contact *Disclaimer: Some links are affiliate. This. It has definitely taken a toll this year (and every year prior, but this year feels especially noxious).
This is another way we live in rape culture; we live in a culture where we have to hear about monstrosity all the time. Sometimes I look at those top stories lists and wonder if I'm the only one who notices that two or three or four of the ten are about violence against women.

State Sen. Jeremy Moss wins Dem primary for safely blue #MI11, Haley Stevens' seat. He'd be Michigan's first LGBTQ member of Congress.
NEW: Missouri voters have rejected Amendment 4, which Republicans had passed to make citizen-initiated constitutional amendments effectively impossible. It would have required initiatives to pass in every congressional district—not just statewide—giving the overwhelmingly red districts a veto
NEW: Voters have rejected Republicans' scheme to unseat the Kansas Supreme Court's Dem-appointed majority and overturn abortion rights. Amendment 1 would have let the GOP replace the system of a nominating commission, gubernatorial appointment, and retention elections with direct partisan elections
Two more GOP amendments go down to crushing defeats, both in MO. #4 would have made future ballot initiatives impossible to pass by requiring winning a majority statewide *and* in each congressional district. #5 would have eliminated the state income tax.
Humorous to me how, when a Dem candidate is a centrist, the narrative is about how leftists have to grow up and support them. When the candidate is a leftist, the question is whether they can rally adequate support. So some people are responsible for running a winning campaign, you say? Interesting.
El Sayed is up 16 points right now. Let’s hope it sticks.
Whatever the reason, I’ll take it. www.nytimes.com/2026/08/04/n...

Still thinking about that moment in Spiderman #BrandNewDay when the whole audience applauded and then two seconds later was like OHHHHHHH NOOOOOOO. 🤣🤣🤣
They claimed they were going to do this at polling places in majority Latino precincts in New Jersey and then no one showed up. Don’t be afraid. VOTE.
