In honour of the one millionth parkrun we’re delighted to announce that there will be balloons at Ally Pally parkrun on Saturday!!! 🎈 We have received our box of parkrun celebratory paraphernalia and the core team are falling over themselves to get a volunteer credit for blowing up the balloons.

Imagine saying “3,2,1 Go!” one million times! 😀 Our modest contribution to this brilliant story will reach 640 on Saturday so please join us to run/walk/volunteer at Ally Pally as we mark the millionth parkrun. Obviously no event will officially get the honour but hey, let’s assume it’s us! 😉

We’ve given the results a good stir and the general consensus at Ally Pally parkrun HQ is that they are now OK. ✅ So this means we officially had 399 finishers. Thank you to all our volunteers who made it all possible, before, during, and after the event. 👏👏👏 #loveparkrun

After last week’s 438 finishers we’re anticipating another bumper attendance tomorrow. As it’s a Bank Holiday we may lose a few regulars, making the volunteers’ “guess the turnout” competition interesting! The good news is that we now have finish tokens all the way to 500. 😮 #loveparkrun

Update for April 25th We are on! 🙂 As usual there will be a course inspection first thing tomorrow. Please listen for any special announcements at the start. The past couple of weeks have seen big turnouts so it helps if everyone can be quiet during the briefing. 🤫 See you tomorrow! 👋

There are roadworks taking place on Alexandra Palace Way causing a small obstruction. Our event tomorrow, 25th April, is at risk. We will have a decision on whether we’re on/off by 20.00 this evening (24/4/26). If you’ re visiting from a distance it may be worth having a backup plan!

⏰ Update for 7th March ⏰ Set those alarms - we are back! The contractors have finished for the week and laid new tarmac over their excavations. Their encampment is still by the start/finish area so our scanners may need to be moved. Listen for any changes at the pre-event briefing. #loveparkrun

🪏 Cancellation reminder 28th February ⛏️ As announced we are cancelled this week as Thames Water’s contractors are now on site. We’ll now be taking each week as it comes but the good news is that the contractors have been in touch and are keen to keep us going as long as it is safe to do so.

There has been some work going on on the hill. Please stay to the right hand side of the path. Faster runners should slow down when overtaking, and make way for other park users. Otherwise it’s the usual puddles & muddy bits, but do listen at the briefing for updates. See you tomorrow! 👋

As it turned out our decision to cancel today’s AP parkrun was the right call. This was the scene just after 8.00 this morning.

⛔️ CANCELLED 14th February ⛔️ A new & unexpected Thames Water excavation has appeared by the sports club entrance. After much discussion we’ve decided that the safest option is to cancel. We’re also on the edge of a Met Office weather warning for ice! We hope to be back next week. 🤞 #loveparkrun
