I had to go down the rabbit hole of exactly what Dragon Ball stuff Johnson worked on and got this really funny quote from 9 years ago.

like an interview in 2017 where blogger Derek Padula asked “If a Dallas-based corporation created an all-consuming Tree of Might that destroyed the environment, but in the process created lots of energy and jobs, what would you do?” to which Johnson replied:

I would blow up the tree. I would call Goku for help, and the small floating guy, Chaozu. We need his help as well. Different characteristics. That’s short-term thinking. If you think you’re going to create 20,000 jobs, but it destroys the environment, what are the jobs going to be in 10 years – pilling up all the bodies? You can’t think that way. We can’t pollute the environment. We have to be environmentally responsible.”

Though many candidates won and lost last night, perhaps the funniest outcome is the victory of former Dragon Ball Z dub composer Nathan M. Johnson in Texas and the brutal loss by right wing Halo composer Marty O'Donnell in Nevada: aftermath.site/marty-odonnell...

Nathan M. Johnson in a sharp suit next to Marty O'Donnell. In the background Super Saiyan 3 Goku dropkicks Super Janemba, a still from Dragon Ball Z: Fusion Reborn, for which Johnson scored the English dub .

Bluesky leadership will always suck, but knowing that we continue to make this a website they never wanted it to be does keep it interesting.

my patented technique for how to never draw your belts backwards again: ED

A three step instructional for drawing belt buckles.
Step 1: Strap (Draw two parallel lines)
Step 2: ED (write "ED" on top of your parallel lines)
Step 3: Belt (The buckle and tail of the belt are now placed correctly in relation to each-other, you may complete your belt drawing)

Forgot I took a photo of the good sonic ice cream grafitti in the neighborhood

Spray painted block letters in teal and yellow say LE CH with a melty sonic ice cream pop in the middle, to possibly spell leach, with a pink ice cream cone to the right. The sonic pop has green gumball eyes and is dripping in various places.

Hey comics artists: a new all-timer character design just dropped.

I honestly don't know how to explain. Fascinating little powerhouse of a guy with truly unique hair / beard hyper-stylized combo
