Even though they've only publicly demoed the new Naruto TCG at once event, they've already built a few sims that work surprisingly well lol. This one can be played in the browser narutosim.theramenbowl.net This game seems similar to early YGO of all things. Actually super excited now, it's fun!
I'm late but I read the article on why they named it 2xko (2 & 1/2 years after the name reveal) & I think I appreicate there a barrier of mysticism (i.e. ignorance) between the art & the consumer when it comes to stuff like this. Mentioning its SEO strength feels icky (even tho obvious & realistic)
I know that Tokon got the My Hero Vigilantes artist to do stuff but man not getting Horikoshi himself even on a single promo piece will be such a miss imo
granblue introduced me to gopherwood which I can only conclude as being the bible's version of vibranium or valyrian steel

I've been thinking about this reply cuz my initial reaction is "man most 3D Sonic games are not bad c'mon" but I may be in too deep lol. I created this list not based on my opinion on the quality of the games (SA1 is my fav Sonic game) but rather its appeal to non Sonic fans.

I used to not really like Falcoon growing up but as I get older I appreciate that he was a fan who somehow ended up in control of the reigns and just did whatever he wanted. Can't blame the dude. Also he did the Card Fighters Clash art so he gets unlimited passes

It is mandatory you experience the final Xenmas fight in KH2 as a child before you even develop the chemicals in your brain that allow the ability to critique game design. Idc if i'm mashing triangle this was the most dramatic thing a child of the 2000s could experience.

I really really really love Relink and always have fun playing it with friends, but i'm a bit dissapointed with Endless Ragnarok. For $30 and 2 years of dev time, I guess I was expecting way more *new* bosses when 90% of the time you're going thru old content with bigger numbers. Just me?
Final Tokon beta thoughts: -This game feels legit hard -Some of the best character designs/mechanics in a modern fighter -Layout is still ass -Worst DP input interpreter ever -People who say you only need to play 1 character are trolling -Not for me but is interesting to say the least (positive)
I think if Shinji met Sonic he'd legit change him. He'd be so happy to hang out with him. Shinji would see Sonic during the 3rd Impact instead of Kaworu.

I think the one button dash macro is probably going to be the most influential game design choice for fighting games this decade. Real pandora's box moment imo

I'm not a super hero guy but looking at my shelf rn you wouldn't be able to tell cause of these gamerverse figures. There's no way I can pass up a giant Capcom Sentinel.

Tokon is very restrictive & unintuitive to me but in a weird way that's making it fun to figure out cuz every cool thing you do feels like you found a loophole in the system. It's less like "wow this game lets me do that?" & more like "I tricked the game into letting me do that". Interesting game 🤔
He has a lot to live up to but I will admit Tokon Doom is very very very cool
