Another take I have on this is that AI writing is just bad. They repeat catching patterns as if it was a marketing brochure, it doesn’t pay attention to tension, pacing, wording. Once you see it, you see it everywhere and it gets tiring really fast.

I think we have to admit to ourselves at this point that Al writing is generally very appealing to people who haven't been exposed to a ton of it: they prefer it to human writing and react super positively on exposure.
