I’ve noticed over the last month, that the concurrent player count on my PS friend list has dropped from around 20 online on average, down to around 12 or 13. I think some people may have legitimately stopped playing their Playstation over the disc issue.
Even if a game doesn’t click with you the first time (or even the second, third, etc), that doesn’t mean that will always be the case. Stellar Blade is another game that has went from shit to hit in, in my eyes. Enjoying it significantly more now that I was last year when I tried to force it.
I honestly don’t think I’ve ever witnessed as much outrage about something in gaming as I have with the PS disc situation. Hard to say if it translates to anything meaningful. It did for PS3 and especially Xbox one, but people were mad about the switch 2 price and that didn’t do shit.
I don’t like this, though I do understand why they’re doing it. My take is, they have no choice but to implement a disc to digital system like Xbox is rumored to be doing. It’s mandatory or they’ll lose a quarter of their base overnight. If our library doesn’t move forward, why should we?

FF7 remake (and by extension, the PS5 release as well) done too. Definitely took longer to clean up this one. Those 6 and 7 star fights are no joke. Was worth the pain for 2 platinums though, lol. Overall, not a bad day.

Was only 3 trophies shy and fortunately none of them were extremely time intensive, since I kept multiple saves from across my playthrough. Good example of why it’s wise to keep multiple save files when it’s possible to do so.
May go ahead and do this with some other ones as well.

Social media is just a large gathering of people, at the core. It’s important to remember that people are stupid. Yes, that goes for all of us. As such, people are going to do stupid things and then other people are going to react in stupid ways to those things. Gotta allow room for mistakes.
22 years ago, Final Fantasy I & II: Dawn of Souls was released for the original Game Boy Advance. This, to me, was -the- definitive way of playing these games. Even now with the pixel remasters, these versions still stand out!

Don’t usually care too much about any “drama” happening, as it seldom, if ever, involves anyone in my inner circle. So my reaction usually is a simple “ah, well that sucks” and then go about my day. However, this feels different. If it’s who I suspect it is, I’d thought they were the best of us.

Current gaming rotation is Baldur’s Gate 3 and Stellar Blade, with some Borderlands 2 on the side. I think after these games are done, I may hard focus the Switch 2 and PC for a few weeks or a month. Haven’t beaten any games on those this year. BG 3 will be one for PC though.
I remember when PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo were all awesome. Now, they’re all varying degrees of trash. Really is depressing.
It’s odd, really enjoying a genre, but hating the games that laid the foundation for it. Loved all of these games, but I stand by Demon’s Souls and Dark Souls 1 being asscheeks. My opinion won’t change for Demon’s Souls, but I’ll give Dark another shot once I pick up the trilogy pack off amazon.

Last year, Stellar Blade unfortunately bored me to the point where I just didn’t feel like playing much of anything outside of FF XIV for months. Much like God of War 2018 and Horizon Zero Dawn, both of which I felt the same way about initially (but later loved), I’m going to give it another shot.
All of these 70-90% off deals on the PSN summer sale actually makes it feel like a proper sale. Sony is actually giving Steam and Xbox a run for their money (or, more accurately, ours).

Ordered this from Amazon like 2 and 1/2 months ago and it was finally delivered yesterday. It’s actually really good, but can barely taste the Dr Pepper at all, unlike the blackberry/cherry/cream/strawberry and cream variants.
