Embarrassed to admit I read this book two decades ago Idk why the story that stuck with me was a woman whose husband didn't want to pay for house cleaners and just wanted his wife to clean. So she would get extra cash back at the grocery store and use it to pay the cleaners and he never caught on?

Over a decade ago I used some app that was supposed to help keep my digital music files organized. As soon as I ran it, it deleted a bunch of stuff without confirming which I was never able to get back. So there's pretty much no scenario where I'll be willing to trust an AI program to handle things

Giving a shout out to Breville for having great customer service in this age of AI bots and non-existent phone support. Bought an espresso machine in 2019. Couple years later I had a problem with it. Technically just past the warranty, but they let me send it in for repairs under warranty anyway
Posting one of my prized possessions in honor of Star Trek Day: the shirt from the one and only Star Trek night they did at Dodger Stadium! In 2012 They did a fireworks show set to all the different Star Trek themes. It was awesome (and I may have cried)
Considering getting a newer phone to have a better camera, but so many of the current phones are extremely AI-forward. Gross.

I swear when my cat is sleeping she can feel when I'm trying to take a cute snoozy picture of her, she always wakes up
So fed up with AI use at work. I still don't use it but SO many people do. I always ask colleagues, "to confirm, you're saying it should be X?" And there are just SO many times where I ask them that (bc what AI wrote doesn't make a lick of sense) and they CANNOT answer the question
