there is literally no amount of caveats or careful wording that will protect you from stupidity or bad faith, so you might as well say things straightforwardly and strongly to begin with.

100% this! I see so many between-participants studies with like N=50 when a proper power analysis would tell you you need like 500! Never between-subjects unless you have an EXTREMELY good reason. Remember, an underpowered study is often worse than no study as it can mislead!
