The funny thing is that Edwards's replacement will be picked by a GOP committee, not voters, which of course the GOP criticized Dems for when they replaced Biden. Yet again, this is not hypocrisy. This is the conservative outlook: it's fine when we do it because we're white and Christian.

If Congress had a spine, a no-bid contract to a political supporter for work that failed, and then falsely blaming, arresting, and charging a former Olympian with felony vandalism, would be a scandal that would cripple any other presidency. Not this GOP. Not this MAGA. This is authoritarianism.

Trump's own intelligence agencies concluded that Iran attacked Minnesota's critical infrastructure and Trump is saying that it's Minnesota's own fault and denying it was Iran. The federal government won't defend blue states in a literal war.
The 6 largest oil companies will collectively rake in $45B in profits in the second quarter of 2026 — nearly double what they made in the first quarter. Meanwhile, Canada, France, and Spain are battling record-breaking wildfires spurred by the climate crisis. Big Oil profits while the world burns.
The racism is so unhinged MAGA and the Trump admin will absolutely destroy our healthcare system and public health in order to get to their "white America paradise."

Why, oh why is there no media pushback on Trump’s excuse of forced labor to impose tariffs, while at the same time the US has 800,000 or more incarcerated prisoners working in forced labor? Why has no one (except me) seemingly pointed out this hypocrisy?
This is exactly right. The problem lies in a true difference of perspective. Some of us believe that continuous education for all means people can pursue their passions. The Handmaids of Capital, however, might as well be a Marxian caricature who fear an educated proletariat.
