I’m Sarah, I write sort of introspective unsettling cuddly horror. My bestie says I wrap you up in a blanket and give you a mug of tea next to the fire and then tell a story that leaves you staring bleakly into the abyss. But at least you have tea? I loved Mexican Gothic and What Moves the Dead

#HorrorWritersChat Scream in Victorian London... maybe written as a Sherlock Holmes type mystery, but with more gore as befitting a slasher. Add a gothic twist with a governess being the one menaced by the masked killer perhaps, in a grand old estate?

the more backstory the better, even if it's not gonna be featured in the story, it gives live to the characters. in general, at least i draft the events that make them who they are. my vampires Minh and Santiago are from the 1920's so they have a long timeline sorted out #HorrorWritersChat

hi 👋 im anita, i write monsters, ecohorror, and both at same time why not. I've been really into Wuthering Heights this year, and definitely the moors itself was a huge horror. I'm also a big fan of Sherlock Holmes The Hound of the Baskervilles, which coincidently also features a creepy bog

In case you've forgotten, the US is currently implementing its Western Hemisphere "Donroe Doctrine" with the goal of normalizing US intervention across Latin America and undermining sovereignty. It's already started in Guatemala and Honduras. Venezuela was the original example.
