I mean... obviously no modern GW kit is going to be as customisable as I want, but the new Ogres weren't bad. And the pointless hard divide between Gutbusters and BCR is very much in the bin. As are... Maneaters. RIP!

4.) Do a well-considered range refresh on the Ogres, replace the ancient resin kits and update the plastics without losing their splendid customisability, throw the Gutbusters/Beastclaw distinction in the bin, and give some love to the best unit in any GW setting, the Maneaters.

I'm pleased to be broadly wrong on my prediction for Sons - whether or not the army plays any better or not with the new tome, doubling the number of kits in the faction isn't a bad thing!

9.) When AoS 5.0 releases, not a lot will significantly change. It probably won't even need the update, it'll just be the passing of 36 more months on the metronome. It'll be heralded by 6 months of nonsense campaign books with new alternate factions nobody asked for. See you in 30 months!

The rest of the day didn't go much better for the Banditz... game 2 went into an almost identical clone of game 1, and went even worse, and game 3 saw me all but obliterated on the first turn. And since I ducked out early, odds are good I've landed Best Sport and/or Army 🤣
