The lack of meaningful action in the #Epstein case here and in the US is staggering. We all know what happened and yet just one person - a woman - is in jail (albeit deservedly). Our representatives are staring at known rapists, sex traffickers & paedophiles in positions of power and just shrugging.

The Field Marshal made it clear he shouldn't be at the vet, objected to being weighed, howled at the anal gland clearing & shouted a canine expletive when injected. When a thermometer was placed in his rear artillery, he turned around & bit me. Vet said it was fair enough. He is now resting. #FMJPC

Without their resolve we wouldn’t have our nation’s story. It’s estimated 20-60k French resistance fighters died during the war. These fuckers really are vile bastards 😡😡
This feels very much like a global case of boiling frog syndrome. Unless we get off our arses and act we are heading towards disaster.

I’ve loved the US ever since I was a teen. My intro was studying US politics which I became obsessed with. And each visit I’ve loved the hospitality & people. But the America of Donald Trump is a different place. I hope that one day it comes back but the longer this goes on the harder it will be.
The Suffolk wildfire is now the size of 200 football pitches. The nearby nuclear power plant at Sizewell B is not under threat because the wind is blowing in the opposite direction. It's an important reminder that we are often just a chance event away from complete disaster.

I've been struck by how differently we all age. I won't comment on myself as I am in denial but it's reminder of how life is such a mix of chance, choices and genetics.

It is such a shame that the characteristics that make you a billionaire are not the same ones that make you care about other people. If they were, the world would be a much better place for everyone.
