15-year Twitch streamer (watched over 6 million hours!), Silent Hill Guy, event host, OG speedrunner, sequin wearer. Location: Close enough to Atlanta, GA https://beacons.ai/AnEternalEnigma

I uploaded a 46GB file to YouTube in 11 minutes. Before, it would have taken around 3 hours. I don't want to get too obscene but remember Randy Marsh at the computer? That may have been me.

I had a 14-day followup EKG today and it was clear. No more inflammation. Cleared to do whatever I want again. We are definitely presuming I picked up something viral or bacterial and it advanced into that. Great story, the end!

Can finally tell you we're bringing speedruns back to Dragon Con this year! Myself and the esteemed @bobbyblackwolf.com will be showcasing Silent Hill f live in Atlanta TENTATIVELY for Saturday 9/5 afternoon! I'll also be on a bunch of panels over the event. I'll post that schedule as we get closer.

I'm very mad over the events of this evening so I'm challenging myself to post something positive. Cox did one good thing for me on the way out. Since they're shutting their security service entirely down in October, their referral to another company took the install down from $500 to $35. BANG!

Welp, had to postpone the 12-hour stream to tomorrow because updating Stream Deck to 7.5.1 right before I started blew up all my BarRaider plugins I use for lot of things including all my counters/timers. So I've had to backup everything, downgrade to 7.5.0 and re-do all my integrations. SUX!!

I'm entirely indifferent on Sony killing physical games but watching Jacob Navok, the genius who was behind Silent Hill: Ascension and shut his post replies off during it, fall all over himself to write novels insulting people upset about it over on Elon's Playhouse isn't shocking to see from him.

The funny thing about shit like this (if they actually do it) is there's no regular user on Twitch that pines for this sort of thing. Like...no person is out there saying, "I really want to start streaming on Twitch but the only thing holding me back is Amazon isn't training AI on streams yet."

Twitch and Amazon are apparently planning to use streams to train Generative AI. Multiple sources tell me it will be announced in the coming months, despite some internal friction against it. Creators may be able to opt out of some training data.

This is a full circle moment. Gears of War 3 in 2011 was the first time I really noticed a game aggressively pushing microtransactions. I remember people were AGHAST that you had to pay a total of $45 to get all the weapon skins with no in-game way to unlock them. www.pcgamer.com/games/third-...

Gears of War: E-Day devs are embracing 'old-school' multiplayer in 2026: 'No battle pass, no tour of duty, no gimmicks, no bullsh*t'

But, of course, there's a catch.

I was having a text chat with Mom this morning. She was explaining something she didn't like and finished it off with "SUX!" Who said you can't modernize your vernacular at age 77?

this goes for just about any platform you could think of, patreon twitch whatever, please do not do give money to creators through a platform's phone app unless it is literally the absolute only way you can do so. you pay more, the person you're trying to support gets less, it sucks for everyone

Any of you using the ios version of Patreon to support me, switch to the browser version instead, cuz the apple fees have actually taken over 3000 usd from me in the course of a year
