Went to see Practical Magic 2 today and, as I had a voucher for a film ticket, I treated myself to the drink and popcorn bundle with the drink cup shaped as a blender like the one they use in the films to make margaritas! 1/2

Discovered McLeod’s Daughters is on Prime. I have the series all on DVD but, they’re all in the loft and this is just a bit easier. 😂 It was such a brilliant Australian series. Sure, like many shows it slipped towards the end but I still loved it. #McLeodsDaughters
Honestly so devastated by the passing of Dolly Parton. I recognise as we get older, so do our heroes and those we admire greatly. I didn’t expect this one to hit as hard as it has. But holy shit, what a woman she was. Icon. Legend. Forever missed, never forgotten. Thank you #DollyParton
I understand the whole ‘Let Them’ theory but it can be bloody hard. When seeing people you have known for a good few years and think that they are your friends but, you are never invited or involved in any outings or gatherings they have together. Are you truly friends? Or is it all just surface?
This puppet episode of Star Trek SNW might just be the worst I have ever seen. It’s right up there with when lizard version of Janeway and Paris had baby lizards…
Just listening to the latest episode of @staceysparlour.bsky.social and just utterly agree with the feelings behind the X-Men characters Jean Grey and Cyclops.
So, in the space of one year #DisneyPlus are putting up annual subs by another £10 bring the total to £99.90! I know Disney like to whack high prices on things but another £10 in the space of a year and for what exactly? More live action remakes?
Watched all of Prime’s Ride or Die yesterday, yes, all of it. I love both actresses in the lead roles, Hannah Waddingham & Octavia Spencer. I really enjoyed! A good fun action with excellent ladies in the lead and HW really kicking but!! I think there was room for more to tell and maybe a S2 will?
@jenniegyllblad.bsky.social joined us for our latest episode, Never Seen…The Raid! Jen & host Jenni hadn’t seen it! It was @leegrice.bsky.social choice so,listen in to hear what we all thought of The Raid and how @staceysparlour.bsky.social brought it back to TMNT! podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/n...

OK. After seeing Toy Story 5 today, here’s my Toy Story film ranking. 1. Toy Story 2 2. Toy Story 5 3. Toy Story 4. Toy Story 4 5. Toy Story 3 Controversial? I don’t know but that’s my current ranking anyway 😁⭐️
We chatted about so many things! All the things!! 😃😃😃
E188: Going Full MYAH! feat. @angelj5.bsky.social is out now! In this jumbo episode, surprising absolutely no-one, we have a lot of things to say about the new Masters of the Universe movie, plus Jenni recommends Disclosure Day, I am obsessed with Grogu, and more! podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/e...
I am very excited. I have basically booked myself a Spielberg Summer. I have tickets to see Disclosure Day on opening weekend and then tix for Jaws, E.T., Jurassic Park and a Spielberg Day School all at Cinema City, Norwich and I just cannot wait 🥰
I think I have put some of my membership tickets at Cinema City, Norwich (Picture House). Ticket booked for Disclosure Day and then it’s a selection of Spielberg classics on the big screen and I’m excited! Jaws. E.T., and Jurassic Park. Favourite director, big screen. Awesome.
Watched The Lost Boys one summer at an outdoor screening for my birthday. It’s now a summer film for me, perfect for tonight too as this is the first weekend I’ve actually had some time to myself!
Having just finished a rewatch of series 1&2 of BBC’s comedy/drama Dinosaur, I really hope they commission a third series! It’s such a brilliant show and cast. Just so funny and sweet and lovely, with real heart. More please #BBC
Just put on the 1985 Young Sherlock Holmes film. Can’t remember when I last watched this. The practical FX are still brilliant, the score too!
Relaxing and watching Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistlestop Café. Love the film and novel. Not watched it in a long time. Give it a few more scenes and I’ll be blubbing away!
Put on Superman II (1980) and I had completely forgotten that whilst the opening credits swoop by, they were also showing a whole ‘previously on Superman’ 😅
Rivals is back on Disney+ and that makes my weekend! Really loved the first series of this show. Not just the 80s setting with set dec and costume but the needle drop soundtracks is bloody brilliant! #Rivals
Just caught the end scenes of E.T. The flying, the goodbyes. In those moments it still brought a smile to my face and tears to my eyes. A mix of Spielberg’s talent as director, the cast and SFX but most of course, the John William’s score 🥰❤️🥰❤️
Just finished a rewatch of E.T. No matter how many times I watch it, the ending still always gets me 🥲 a perfect film and score and WHAT A SCORE. I rarely look away from the screen when I watch it ❤️💙💜
Why yes, I did snag @jamiesmart.bsky.social new book ‘Megalomaniacs’ when I spotted it today 😁 Looking forward to more crazy and silly fun. Is it for younger people that this 44 year old? Yes. Do I care? No.
Sometimes I wish I was a film journalist so I might have a chance to interview Steven Spielberg. Damn it, I’d just love to sit and talk film with him. And then Kathleen Kennedy. And then Martin Scorsese.
I’ll be honest lads… I’m really just watching Daredevil and waiting for Jessica Jobes to appear and the wait is looooonnnnggg and the series has been, IMO, pretty boring so far.
Currently watching Irving Berlin’s Easter Parade, starring Judy Garland and Fred Astaire. Just watched one of my favourite scenes when Judy is walking down the street with Astaire behind watching for reactions. Judy shows her comedy chops here and I love it every time I watch it. 😂
Over the long weekend I have watched two excellent documentaries. Both via HBO Max. The first, Mel Brooks: The 99 Year Old Man. I loved it and yes, I will be rewatching some of his films soon. The second was 100 Years of Warner Bros. Another super documentary that I thoroughly loved. 1/4
Finished The Other Bennet Sister on BBC iPlayer this morning and have started rewatching already. It is utterly delightful! Wonderful story and cast and I just adore Mary (Ella Bruccoleri) and her aunt and uncle. Indira Varma is wonderful as Mary’s aunt, ‘Mrs Gardiner’. #TheOtherBennetSister
Finished season 1 of Star Trek: Starfleet Academy last night. It was better than I expected and apart from the odd filler episode and usual teen/high school styled tropes, the season was really good with a very strong cast. Intrigued for where season 2 will go. 1/2
Today I finished Cameron Crowe’s excellent memoir, ‘Uncool’. I listened to the audiobook mostly as Crowe himself narrated the book and I loved every moment of it. I highly recommend this memoir. Especially if you’re a fan of Almost Famous but also a fan of music, especially rock of the 70s. 5⭐️
Star Trek: Starfleet Academy on and my Galaxy projector going, pretty great way to settle for the night and Starfleet isn’t too bad either. Has its moments.
