My tolerance for "Quirky Detective" tv shows is pretty limited but I really enjoy LUDWIG - David Mitchell and Anna Maxwell Martin are terrific, and I really like where we are at the end of series 2 (no spoilers) I do worry this show eats into Mitchell's The Unbelievable Truth time though...

well, surprising no-one RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK was bloody amazing on the big screen. "But what do you get out of seeing it again at the cinema? You've seen the movie thirty!" Just SO MUCH. The details, the sound, the music, everything's so much richer and deeper. 45 year old achievement unlocked.

Stumbled across an illustration I did years ago for a brilliant @manoghosts.bsky.social story, and remembered the eeriness of life-size charity boxes for the charity now called Scope. The story is about one that comes to life after being vandalised once too often, and wreaks its revenge!

DD #163 was one of the first US comics I ever owned, and along with Iron Man #131 & #132 was my first exposure to the the actual comicbook Hulk rather than the tv show...

Finished 1963, and it ended with neither a bang nor a whimper but a long awkward "huh"; as I'm sure I would've done back in the day too. I'm sure Affable Al and co would've crafted something interesting with these guys, but man what a rug pull, Youngblood being the nadir of Image at that time...

Man I was gutted when SPACE: ABOVE AND BEYOND was cancelled. One of those shows that felt like it was made specifically for me. Like many shows it was plagued by studio notes and behind the scenes politics. Originally it was supposed to be a gritty infantry show but Fox demanded Top Gun In Space...

Well that Frank Miller documentary was terrific. Even at 2 hours it felt short, I couldve stood to see them dig into the likes of Martha Washington and Elektra Assassin, and even the abysmal failures like Holy Terror and The Spirit, more.

LAPUTA on the big screen was wonderful. Warm, thrilling, beautiful, and astonishing in it's craft.

There are currently no active conversations for a full ‘MUPPET SHOW’ series revival. Disney, The Muppets Studio and Point Grey Pictures have had difficulties with deciding on a premise for the series that they can all agree on. (Source: Deadline)

Rereading the 1963 miniseries by Alan Moore, Rick Veitch, Steve Bissette et al - its such an odd series, wildly entertaining, but almost too good a pastiche, I'm not sure if I'm supposed to be laughing at it or just enjoying it straight. Its making me want to reread Moore's Supreme and WildCATS too
