Super exciting this week to have a new plant found on #Anglesey Adam the new warden at RSPB Valley Wetlands discovered Water Chickweed, Stellaria aquatica in a part of the reserve that's usually under water. We did a count a few days ago and discovered that there's approx 170 plants #Wildflowerhour
Special access to survey The Skerries this week. Remarkably few species, the majority of cover being Sea Mayweed and Rock Sea-spurrey, with occasional Scarlet Pimpernel and a few Spear-leaved Orache. Fantastic experience especially with seeing the terribly cute Tern chicks. #Wildflowerhour #Anglesey

After 40 years of botany I finally became a rock-rose completist with these Spotted Rock-rose on Anglesey. A bonus Sphaerophoria scripta hoverfly joined in.I didn't recognise this as Spotted Rock-rose until I looked closely. The spots can be almost invisible to the untrained eye. #wildflowerhour
