Aniline Applications

We make Indigo and Croissant, apps for better social experiences. Aaron Vegh & Ben Rice McCarthy

While I was travelling last week, @vegh.ca has been cooking up some very exciting stuff 👀 As I said before, we have a few bigger features and improvements that I think will work best if we launch them together, which means a bit more of a wait, but I think it'll be worth it

Not the most exciting release but Indigo 1.2.4 is out now! It's just a few fixes for things like: - how the focused cell is determined while scrolling - updating direct message conversations - quote interactions view layout

Indigo 1.2.3 is hitting the App Store now! With: - redesigned in app (toast) notifications - improvements to the scroll position control - improvements to code blocks Fixes for: - space bar scrolling - loading posts on launch if Indigo hasn't been used recently And we removed the review prompt

Indigo 1.2.2 is out now! In the build we've got: - a whole bunch of menu bar / key commands for iPad and Mac - an inline video progress bar - the ability to detach unwanted Bluesky quotes - a nice little reminder to leave a review (hint hint) - like a hundred minor improvements

I want to separate the Autoplay Media preference to: - Autoplay Video - Autoplay GIFs Whether GIFs are set to autoplay or not, they will loop until you tap them to stop. Is there anyone who thinks looping should be its own pref? (Autoplaying a GIF once that does not loop seems awkward)

it's not perfect but playing around with Indigo, an iOS/Mac app that provides a unified timeline between Mastodon and Bluesky (and goes so far as to link cross-platform posts and add ways to interact across networks if you like) feels like a glimpse at a better future

Oh sweet, Indigo has Bluesky lists now (it uhhh has for a few weeks but I hadn't looked at the sidebar I guess). That was basically the only thing that I ever opened the official Bluesky app for, and now I don't have to. It's really nice:

We've got even more exciting news though! Over the weekend we released Indigo 1.2 and just this morning, 1.2.1 (the app review gods have been kind) There are a bunch of improvements but two big ones: - Timeline scroll performance is way, way, way better - Post Replies have smarter threading

Hey! A little bit of news: Soapbox Software is no more, we're now Aniline Applications There was a pre-existing Soapbox company that we weren't originally aware of who understandably asked us to change it. But now we have a cool new ambigram logo so it's not all bad 😄

Indigo 1.1.2 is out now! You may have noticed some issues with scroll position sync since the last update and for that, we do sincerely apologies. The good news is, not only should that be fixed now, but we've given you even more control over scroll position with this handy little menu

Indigo 1.1.1 is out now! You're probably thinking whoa it's barely been a day since 1.1 and you'd be right. But we had a few bug fixes we wanted to get out, a new language preference for translation, and a couple of app icons for Pride

Hey monthly Ultraviolet subscribers! If you're enjoying Indigo and you like all the updates we've put out so far, now would be a great time to consider moving to an annual sub before it renews Save yourself some money!

Indigo 1.1 is out now! It’s got a whole new theming system, letting you choose the colour scheme, background brightness, and text contrast Especially cool is a new colourblind friendly palette and a monochrome theme that makes your timeline feel like a newspaper
