How I've been feeling in recent months

I can't stress this enough: Your local library. You would be amazed how many different groups, clubs, and orgs use your local library for holding events, publicity, teaching classes, or just a communal space. Libraries have never been more tech savvy. Go to their website. Look on their calendar.

[Someone asked how I find classes but has quotes off and I think it's a Q of broader interest] Sometimes I just pay attention to what friends are doing or what orgs around me are offering, sometimes I think of a thing I might enjoy and then I search for whether classes are available in my city

One of the great joys of my adult life has been realizing that I can just pick up a new skill every so often, take a fun little class in it weekly for a year or two, and simply enjoy meeting people and getting medium proficient and not attempting to become professional in it at all!

I miss when "AI" was exciting to me. Questions of morality, rediscovering our humanity—so many wonderful stories in sci-fi. I love Data from Star Trek, KOS-MOS and MOMO from Xenosaga, HAL9000 from 2001, Ava from Ex-Machina. Now "AI" just means corporations killing creatives and our planet.

Any and everyone should feel like they can make art too. If youve always wanted to draw or have struggled to draw for years, please make art!! It doesnt have to be perfect, the fact you made it is special in itself. We need more art in the world, especially in these dark times
