My second Love Italia 🤌🏼 #blackandwhite #SanRemo #italy #photography

Black-and-white photograph of a narrow, cobblestone street in an old Italian town, viewed beneath a weathered stone archway. Tall, closely spaced buildings line the passage, while a steep staircase rises along the right side beside a rough stone wall. Light draws the eye toward the distant end of the winding street, emphasizing texture, depth, and the historic character of the scene.

Some steps with a chrome handrail in the centre and stone walls on either side. There are pink flowers along the top of one wall.
Going down the steps, you cross a road at the bottom and then the path leads to the harbour wall. A small blue roofed building built on the harbour wall is currently used as a café.

La danse des Sabines, El Hierro, October 2004 #Stunday #blackandwhitephotography #ClassicMono #FineArt #EastCoastKin #ECK #Scape Preparing a special edition for the local cultural festival taking place next weekend. Put them in a dance context. Find more under: www.jochenberger.art/la-danse-des...

A gnarled, wind-shapen juniper fills the foreground of this black-and-white photograph, its twisted trunk and branches rendered as intricate sculptural patterns typical of El Hierro's famous wind-beaten junipers. A dense thicket of similarly deformed trees behind reveals an entire woodland shaped by the Atlantic trade winds. Tight framing makes the sculptural forms the focal point, while soft overcast light wraps the scene in a somber, contemplative mood. Strong tonal contrast between pale wood and darker growth creates depth. Monochrome heightens the natural abstraction of the tangled, weathered forms.

A wind-beaten juniper, its leafless, twisted branches shaped by years of Atlantic trade winds, stands on the right of the frame in this black-and-white photograph. Characteristic of El Hierro's legendary junipers, the tree forms a stark, dramatic silhouette against a misty backdrop, its form telling the direction of the prevailing wind. The fog's negative space isolates the subject while the landscape recedes into blurred depth. Soft, diffused light lends a serene, mysterious mood; fine bark detail contrasts with the smooth mist gradients. Monochrome sharpens the focus on line and resilience.

This black-and-white photograph is an intimate study of an old juniper trunk from El Hierro, its deeply furrowed, twisted surface rendered in rich tactile detail. The wind-scoured bark bears the history of decades of salt-laden trade winds, each groove and hollow a record of endurance at the island's exposed edges. The centered composition draws the viewer into these intricate patterns, while a softly blurred background suggests the barren juniper woodland. Diffused light models the contours gently, creating a mood of quiet persistence and slow time. Monochrome turns the trunk into an abstract meditation on survival.

A lone, ancient juniper tree, shaped by relentless Atlantic trade winds, dominates this black-and-white photograph. Typical of El Hierro's iconic wind-beaten junipers, its thick, twisted trunk and sprawling horizontal branches seem frozen in motion, growing away from the wind in sculptural defiance. The composition centers the tree against a foggy, indistinct landscape, adding depth and mystery. Diffused light softens the contrasts while emphasizing the tree's rugged, silvery bark texture. The monochrome palette distills the scene to pure form and endurance — a timeless portrait of survival at the edge of the ocean.
