NY based LGBTQIA+ voice actor Deemu in #Rubine, Reishi in #Totoddities https://www.annieberladevo.com

Sent the newest Rubine build out this morning to a few close associates to playtest, thankfully no game breaking hangups have come up so I think it's basically done maybe idk

I signed my first official NDA today, and it’s still surreal. Thus, I want to offer some reflection and gratitude to everyone who has ever encouraged me. Here’s to hoping to more down the line! And all my fellow VAs, if I can do it, so can you! Love you guys. Thanks for everything. #voiceacting

Watch movies. Play video games. Read books. Listen to music. Attend theatre. Live life. So that you can archive these moments that leave some sort of an impact on you, and be able to access it later on when that one particular audition lands in your inbox four years from now. 😌

"I understand bringing myself to the story, but what if the character is absolutely not like me?" This is why we have workshops. So you can try them on in a safe environment. To explore, discover, and eventually GAIN that facet as an authentic part of you. And now, that character is "yourself." 😏👍

Every now and then, I see/hear/read it. Actors wanting to hear themselves in a game, wanting to see a long line of fans at a convention somewhere. We're human and it's perfectly normal to want those things. And if these things turn out to be the fuel that propels you to become a better actor, then

We're inside a booth with a microphone. The moment is never - **NEVER** - 100% real. Never 100% honest. Auditions or sessions. We hone this craft to be ABLE to bring it as close to 100% as possible, while fully knowing that 100% is impossible. To get there efficiently. Proficiently. Consistently.

Happy pride month! While I’ve made it known since day 1 that I’m queer, in case if you’re curious, I am bisexual and genderfluid! Typically my pronouns are she/he/they, or honestly any lol. To my fellow alphabet mafia, I wish you all the gayest goodies this June :)

Everyone Is Expected To Be Good. It means your demos, resume, and everything you're using to market yourself should already demonstrate that you are a proficient voice actor. And because it is a GIVEN, marketing is not about you the voice actor. It's about you the person. The human.
