I'm beyond thrilled to have this introduction to an upcoming collection by Cesar Aira reprinted in The Paris Review. Reading these stories and being immersed in Aira's worlds was intoxicating. In collaboration with @jeffvandermeer.bsky.social, working on this was a dream.

Good morning, World! The most astonishing thing happened to me this morning on my walk. A Red-shouldered Hawk flew right by me, so close I could almost reach out and touch him. And he was holding a snake in his talons!!! Just dangling down.
It's going to be a beautiful day! Taking my morning walk and running into neighbors I haven't seen in awhile. Plus all the dogs! And they remember me. ❤️
For those of you who are interested: No, I never found the Pork Soda CD. Yes, I did take field trip to the record store. No, they didn't have this record in stock. As a matter of fact, they had just sold the only copy the other day. Yes, I ordered a copy. It should arrive early next week.

So damn PROUD of my nephew Pioneer Winter. He was profiled in the NYTIMES! I love his philosophy of Every Body Dances. I take it to heart and dance whenever I can, even though I have no talent. 😜 After all the trauma and rejection my body has suffered these last 2 years, this is welcome.
