I am beside myself with grief at all the fires WA is being subjected to. I was looking at the wildfire map last night and it looks like at least two of my favorite hikes could burn down in the next few weeks. I think I'm still in the denial phase because I haven't started crying yet.

Feeling incredibly grateful over this past decade and everything God has given me up to this point. And proud to have been a stepping stone to elevate others along the way (self-sufficiency is the ultimate wealth).

I dig my heels when it comes to meeting any type of racist demand. Especially around respectability politics. My obligations are strictly to my employers, my family, my mentors&mentees, and my relationship.

Essentially, covert racists subconsciously look for cues that confirm a particular narrative placed on someone’s race. Anything that breaks a narrative built on ignorance can actually cause them discomfort, doubt, suspicion, or disbelief.

Telemundo TV commentator: "We are one of the only networks in the world to not show ads during the World Cup cooling breaks. We prefer the old school way. We should be able to see what the players do. We show fans, people enjoying, not the corporate direction of football."

Totally missed the opportunity to address the much larger trend of the wave of Gen-Zers who moved to countries where the cost of living is lower and a remote salary brings larger margins. These aren’t privileged but mere newage survivalists that escaped an economic system they got screwed out of

My soft re-entry to social media after a sabbatical made me realise we are very much living in the age of misinformation-apocalypse. Bluesky/Substack/etc might be closest to a healthier digital palette compared to the other three dumpster fires (IG/X/tiktok)…

I wish I didn’t have the ability to hold a blacklight to someone’s energy but once I see it I can’t unsee it. And I’m eternally grateful for every decision I made that has led me to being highly selective about what I want and for those close to me who show me why I’m choosy in the first place 🌻
