It's too exhausting to relive our past trauma while our future gets pissed away by the same people.
The ICUs were so busy they let a pediatric neurology resident work in the 2nd MICU (normally CICU) so the IM residents could finally get a few days off.

When I went to college, all discussion-based classes, a classmate pointed out my Southern accent. I wanted people to listen to what I was saying and not how I was saying it (and not assume I was dumb). So I started avoiding heavy accent words and imitating those around me. Now I sound boring...
