After years of a corrupt incompetent Tory govt. UK needs to get itself back in the EU as soon as possible and to bring in PR . However, it's clear that Labour or Reform (reject Tories) are NOT the future. . https://join.greenparty.org.uk/

To answer your question Mr Lowe, I do. His name is Nasser Hamid. He was 16 when he left his village, to escape Sudan's civil war. He could not speak English. Look what he achieved! I admire his courage, resourcefulness and intelligence. All qualities sadly lacking in... certain people 🤮

A ruling from the Supreme Court of New South Wales in Australia has drawn attention to an important distinction: opposition to Zionism or criticism of the Israeli government is not automatically the same thing as antisemitism.

Public CONTROL is not public OWNERSHIP Andy Burnham's bus reforms in Manchester were good, but they show that with public control, shareholders still take out profits Our buses, water and other public services should be run in public ownership - not public control

GRaphic that highlights four models of bus ownership in the UK from full privatisation to the Manchester model where buses are privately owned but the market is regulated, to the Reading model where the buses are publicly owned but the market is deregulated, and lastly to We Own It's proposed model where the buses are publicly owned and the market is regulated

Former Tory minister turned Labour adviser Nick Boles, told The Independent that taking Britain back into the single market would deal a “devastating” blow to the Tories and Nigel Farage’s Reform, and help the PM achieve a legacy to rival Tony Blair... www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/poli...

Securing return to EU single market ‘would win Burnham the next election’

Prime minister urged to promise to extend the protection of Britain’s Armed Forces and nuclear deterrent across Europe, in exchange for access to the EU’s free-trade zone

Every year in the UK you are forced to subsidise Billionaires and their companies billions and billions and billions of Pounds. Their Water bills are often 1/10th of yours and their Power bills 2/3rds. This is all added onto YOUR bill, and just lets them make even more profit.

The media jumped on a racist MAGA-style bandwagon championed by the ugliest souls in British society. The myth is that the majority of those journalists and publishers were somehow "instrumentalised" by the far-right. No. They ARE the far-right, and they've been serving its agenda for years.

NEW: I can't get this story out of my head. And I know I'm not alone. The attempt to cover up the complicity of the UK media's role in Jason Arday's death may be its sickest move yet. broligarchy.substack.com/p/the-jason-...

Genuine question. Do we really NEED Data Centres?🤔 Can we recover the 🇬🇧economy without them? Also who is driving this? Tech bros? Wealthy investors? Or is it the logical next step if we want to embrace AI? If it is the last one then I have to ask whether AI is really vital or good for our future?😔

A “hyperscale” datacentre in outer London would generate more than 1m tonnes of carbon dioxide a year. Not compatible with Net Zero. What devolution/democracy? Local councils bypassed, people ignored by Ministers chasing growth. Datacentres produce few long-term jobs, guzzle energy.

China is now chasing billions in unpaid tax. In the UK how about a commission to look into all the Cabinet members of the last say 20 years to root out any corruption, backhanders and unpaid tax? The commission members (forensic accountants?) could receive a percentage of money recovered.

One day, people in power will be asked what they did during the genocide and ethnic cleansing of the Palestinians… And they’ll be able to say …we kept sending Israel arms, trading with them and issued a joint statement.

UK MPs accepted £400,000 of hospitality to concerts, sports, other events. Donors get access, buy influence. Despite £98,599 pay+exps, too many MPs have 2nd jobs, neglect duty to the people, obey paymasters. Parties also for sale. All part of political corruption, and poor state of the country.

Reversing Brexit isn't about what's good or bad for Labour. Reversing Brexit is about correcting a catastrophic decision to reject truth, facts and expertise. Unless that decision is reversed, the UK will remain on a trajectory that's at odds with any kind of serious politics or good governance. 🇬🇧🇪🇺

Just who will benefit from this dangerous monstrosity? Not me, not you, not working people, not the climate, not nature Just mega-rich corporations and their billionaire owners I suppose it will be fun to trash the place when forecast collapse comes 😊 www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2026...
