Early interest check, but any UK folks after an MX-5? I have plans next year that involve it not being around, and as I'm unlikely to drive it much in the winter, I'll be aiming to sell it soon.

Still really like the Paseo after owning my "free" one. This one's much nicer. Gold wheels are a bit much but there are loads of aftermarket options which suit them anyway angliacarauctions.co.uk/auctions/277...
To be fair I'd report a cafe owner who fed their kids to the police too, I feel like the price wouldn't even come into it
This very much depends on whether I have F-you money to begin with, in which case I'd get something like that GTO, drive it around, and cash in when they're multiple millions. If I have present-day money and need to spend wisely, then maybe a Clio V6, and use the heck out of it.

Rallye aside, this is the 106 I'd want in a collection. All the 80s and 90s Roland Garros special editions were great.

The UK brochure reveals it had 'Grand Slam' metallic green paint and 'Volley' cloth trim. #carbluesky

Is Car & Classic a bit knackered for anyone else right now? I can navigate around the site with basic html links but can't open image galleries or the "continue reading" descriptions, no location map, buttons for insurance quotes etc (I assume anything Javascript rather than bog-standard html).
Spotted on a Youtube short. Didn't realise the C215 Mercedes CL had a double door hinge, to extend the door forwards and out for better access. Sort of like a less extreme version of what Renault put on the Avantime a few years later...

Finally got around to reading this. Have also begun to find the first-gen RX quite handsome recently, and the ones that are still around seem no worse for wear for their years. Proper early-days Lexus, just a bit taller.

Well that was a crappy journey. Some absolutely lousy drivers around, and narrowly avoided an accident joining the M40 when the car in front decided to join the carriageway early, and then decided not to when a lorry beeped at them and they swung back towards me as I was going past.

As I have to imagine there are people on here following me for whom the hobbies trains and gaming intersect, I can recommend A Bumpy Ride as a recent release you'll probably like. Cosy train driving/exploration/upgrading game that ticks the chill-out and happy eyeballs boxes.
Quite relieved I'm still not missing mine, which means I think I made the right decision selling it. Been too preoccupied with the two Mazdas too, and given this summer's warmth, I daresay I'd have driven the AC-equipped MX-5 much more than the Peugeot anyway.

Went to find the interview I mentioned here, from February 2001, and there's this snippet in it. Wild to think that not only would Schumacher more than double his tally at the time (91 in total), but Vettel, Verstappen, and Hamilton have all surpassed Prost since the turn of the century.

Always preferred the regular Sporting though without the Abarth kit's intakes and skirts. The swirly wheels were cool too.

Mechanically unchanged from the 1108cc, 54bhp original, it had extra trim, badges and side skirts, but seemed rather a cynical move in 2001, though time has since lent it charm. #carbluesky
