Vet blocklists before subscribing to them. Every time. And every once in a while, go check on the ones you're subscribed to already. They're a good tool, but it's not hard to use them for some real bullshit.

Beware of blocking lists. Some cowards from X are coming here on Bluesky and making fake block lists to trick people into blocking LGBT folks. But is easy to discover that just by opening the list, so report them. Block individually, don't trust those cowards and don't engage with them.

Hey folks, a reminder: Don't use Gen ai. You can either afford an artist/stock art, or you can't. If you can't, you can make your own art/designs or abstain. Or you can cheaper your entire brand and communicate to your audience that you peddle low-effort garbage by using a plagiarism machine.

A number of artists and creators have made their home on Bluesky, and we hear their concerns with other platforms training on their data. We do not use any of your content to train generative AI, and have no intention of doing so.

Unpopular motivation hack for drawing: Start drawing immediately, even if it feels impossible. After 15 minutes, your brain will recognize the difficult task and create dopamine to help you keep going. Agonizing endlessly before the drawing doesn't help your creative process.
