AFAIK, a rate is a way to get paid less the better/faster you paint.

I went to see Dennis Hopper speak at the IFI in Dublin when he was here making Space Truckers, maybe 1995? Someone asked him about his photography, he replied 'The only photo on the wall of my house is one of me in bed with John Huston & John Ford.' Then he went on to explain how it happened.

17 years ago I was finishing up signing 1000 of these posters. With this (and doing lollapalooza the next year)I was pretty sure I was headed for the poster guy big time. I was not. If there is any big time for anyone I will not be in it.
